Read 20 minutes every day.  

Daily Writing Journal:  Create a daily writing journal. 

Write about anything you want. You can also journal about your daily learning: 

• What do you want to do this summer? 

• Write a paragraph to next year’s second graders to tell them about 2nd grade . 

• What did you learn? 

Weekly Learning Goal:   

• I understand the characters in the story and retell major events and writing and defending an opinion 

Choice Activities: 

• READ the story Two of Everything : Lesson 29 in Journeys page 444-460 look for the MAIN EVENTS in the story and how they affect the main CHARACTERS.
